Lightning Safety Awareness Week

Lightning Safety Awareness Week takes place June 21 – 27. Bonded Lightning Protection and the Lightning Protection Institute urge property owners to understand the difference between lightning safety and lightning protection. The distinction is an important one.  Never more so than now, at the start of our hurricane and heavy rainy season.

Lightning safety includes individual actions like sheltering during storms. Lightning protection systems address a structure’s total exposure, including data and electronic infrastructure that is dependent upon uninterrupted electrical supply.
